For long time gaming, Asus mobile comes with a big 5800mAh battery, which is 300mAh more than the battery of old mobile. Asus provides it which is perfect for use during gaming, in office and for students to study more. Asus provides a cooler unit to keep the mobile cool while gaming, which helps in keeping the mobile cool while gaming. Even after playing many games for hours continuously, after four hours only 50% of my battery is left – and the battery cooling is absolutely amazing.
To increase the battery further in Asus mobiles you get powermaster menu – in which you are given many options for battery care, with the help of which you can increase the life of the battery. When I used the mobile, it easily ran for one and a half day. When I charged the mobile to increase its battery life, at that time only 80% charge was left, so you can also increase the life of your mobile. By keeping the phone in X mode and this option on, the battery gets drained very fast.
Keeping gaming in mind, Asus has given this mobile an excellent gaming friendly display, in which you get a 6.78 inch LTPO AMOLED display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. You have a small display at the back of this Asus mobile which makes the gaming mobile even more attractive, you can check the battery and time of the mobile on the backside display of this mobile and you can also see call alert on special. I have only 3 phones which have LED light on the back side, but no one uses it – but you can know the call alert on the back side of Asus and how much charge is there in the mobile.
Asus phone feels comfortable when I hold it in hand for the first time, and the sloping edges of the mobile, this RoG phone 9 gives Asus Android experience as compared to other mobiles. But this time I found the mobile a bit ordinary especially when it comes to gamers design like RGB light. As a gaming phone the ROG phone 9 may not look very good but for bare minimum it has an excellent and attractive camera. For use with the camera and content creation the main sensor’s camera captures great photos and the colour in the image looks correct. Asus’s main camera captures images with good night image quality, the main camera of the mobile captures accurate and detailed natural photos with great natural colours. I used the camera – which captures images with upto 2x zoom and maintains the quality, apart from being best for daily photography the Asus’s 2x digital zoom gives better results by cropping the regular 1x images.
The sensor of the mobile’s ultra-wide camera takes the best picture without much distortion and keeps the color of the picture correct. Your mobile’s ultra-wide camera helps you best for content creation on social media – without any professional camera. But I find that the ultra wide camera does not capture as sharp a picture as the main camera. This mobile ultra-wide camera is the best camera for everyday photography or casual use.
Asus has provided 5MP, f/2.4 micro sensor in the mobile to capture zoom image, this mobile camera captures image with quality by zooming – and this camera is used very less. After capturing the image, the camera of this mobile looks quite different from the micro camera of other mobiles, you should know that the image has been captured with a cinematic professional camera. The micro camera of Asus ROG phone 9 captures the image correctly from very close by focusing and provides great detail and colour, the main sensor works well for close-up shots.
And for taking photos with friends, the 32MP f/2.5 selfie camera in Asus ROG phone 9 captures sharp images and captures quality selfies in low light. This mobile takes very fast selfies and captures correct images. You can capture images by clicking a shoulder button on the phone, but this selfie camera is not as good as the selfie camera of iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Asus has built-in Armoury Create software to download games on the ROG phone 9. You can quickly download games using it. Some special minor software features are available in the ROG phone – The AirTrigger game toran in ROG works perfectly and gives a good immersive experience. When I played a game, I felt a strong vibration through the Airtrigger. The mobile software shows the visuals of the game on the screen very well. The mobile software is responsive and works with a quality controller.
You get a lot of special features in this mobile, but you don’t get sleep mode in this ROG mobile – other than this you have “Lock Touch” mode. You can control this option by swiping the mobile, but I used this feature in my mobile but it does not work properly. I did not find the audio in this mobile as good as I get in Vivo x 200Pro – and this mobile is better and at a lower price than ROG mobile.
Apart from AI, no such feature was given in ROG mobile, which could make it important to play the game and win it by using AI during gaming. Most of the features of this mobile work as per Genshin Impact, but a feature for making voice clear while calling is available in the mobile. This mobile is a perfect option for gaming- but it may not be right for those who do not like gaming, at this price. The updating process of ROG is also not perfect- users get Android updates for two years and mobile security updates for five years.
ROG Mobile has encouraged the use of Dirac Virtuo headphones for sound, which the company promises will let you enjoy the torrent audio of the game – and their Aerocase and Chillcase accessories turn the torrent sound coming from the speaker into a better quality and towards the user. This feature gives gamers a multimedia experience on mobile. ROG Mobile ANime vision feature turns the backside of the mobile into a vibrant display.As standard, the ROG mobile features a 5×17 white dot matrix LED light that shows notifications, basic animations on the phone and takes the gaming phone’s visual performance to a new level using these features.

Should I buy this gaming phone or not, yes I should buy it. In this smartphone, ROG gives you a wonderful AMOLED display for excellent gaming and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor allows you to play fast on your mobile. But I do not like the two Android updates that are available in this mobile that much, but it has game-centric features like USB-C port, Aero Active Triggers and Armoury Crate app. This mobile is the best in 2025, but to compete with the other upcoming mobiles, it is a number one mobile – it is best for games, the mobile also captures cinematic pictures.
But unfortunately the security update feature is not that good in this mobile, which is a must have at this price. This is best for gaming- if we talk about performance score then this mobile gives 80% out of 100%. The display detail and colour of this mobile look even better during gaming. The battery life of this phone is amazing.
