I was impressed with the classic look and great design of Amazfit GTR 3 so I bought the GTR 3 watch with brown leather strap (which I have). And the GTR 3 watch also has a fluoroelastomer strap which is a newer version of the watch. Should you buy it? It depends on whether you want a watch for health or gym. When I used the watch I was very impressed with its GPS tracking feature and exercise tracking feature.
In GTR 3 you get a new operating system called Zepp OS. It has great customization options, lots of pre-built watch faces and great health activity monitoring features. Is the Amazfit GTR 3 as bad as it seems?
The Amazfit GTR 3 is a solid sports watch and affordable fitness tracker smartwatch that is known for its unique features and excellent software. Both the software and hardware in the GTR 3 are well designed, especially for users who are looking for a watch with a long-lasting battery. This is a good watch available in a very budget.
Amazfit GTR 3 :-Quality Perfect Design.
When buying a smartwatch, you should keep in mind that the sport watch designs come in two different colors. I think most people like the angular, square design. The Amazfit GTR 3 smartwatch comes with a resin case and aircraft-grade aluminum bezel and smartwatch. It is available in two colors like Thunder Black and Moonlight Gray, both of which are available with colored straps and cases.
The Amazfit is a smartwatch that is solid and sturdy, and it looks premium too. The GTR 3 uses a standard swappable 22mm band, but you don’t have the option to choose different casing colour options. You get two colour options, Moonlight Gray and Thunder Black. But there is only one size available for the watch. While testing the GTR 3, I found the watch to be comfortable to wear. The design of Amazfit is very beautiful and when you first hold the watch it looks very different from other sports watches. Because it has a matte coating, which feels pleasant but definitely reminds of plastic. It weighs 49 grams. So enough to wear all day.
Amazfit GTR 3:- long battery life.
The real strength of a digital smartwatch is its battery life. Because the battery is the powerhouse of the watch that gives it a long life. Amazfit mentions 21 days of battery life for the GTR 3 and 10 days with heavy use, but we don’t think this is true. By turning off the smart features of your watch, you find that your battery life improves even more. And a smart device that distracts you less helps you focus on things that really matter.
When we used smart features or software on smartwatches, we noticed a decrease in battery life immediately. Just like when we used health tracking or GPS tracking in sports watches, we noticed a decrease in battery life. The GTR 3 watch has a custom OS that helps save battery, integrates with third-party services, and has less functionality than the Garmin watch. When the power runs out, the watch recharges with an included magnetic charging cradle.
Amazfit GTR 3 :- Display.
The Amazfit GTR 3 has an AMOLED 1.45-inch display that is perfect for a sports watch, with a refresh rate as high as you would expect. Its display supports the Always On Display option, which means the phone or smartwatch screen stays lit even when the device is inactive and displays limited information such as time, date, and notifications.
If you think that a smartwatch should have an OLED touchscreen then it is true and that is why you get a bright and responsive touchscreen in it. As we are talking about Amazfit sports watch and Amazfit gives you a watch with good display at a good price. You get a high resolution display in the ies watch but the ies Watch GTR 3 does not offer much in terms of maps or navigation while its display works well overall.
The watch’s display has two physical controls that you can use to access the main menu, which can be used to quickly start and stop activities, and there is a button that accesses the list of activity tracking modes. The watch handles harsh autumn sunlight well. Amazfit also doesn’t give you any specifications for the protective glass that covers the display, but overall the watch is good.

The most important element of a smartwatch or digital watch is its software, which makes it smarter than other smartwatches. And this is what we are talking about. Amazfit GTR 3 does not only have a heart rate sensor or OLED display, but the most important thing is its software feature. With the help of which you can download apps, see notifications and do many other things. The GTR 3 has a new operating system Zepp OS, which comes with many great features that make this watch a powerful smartwatch.
Talking about the operating system of this smartwatch, the Zepp app provides most of the functionality and settings, it works quite well in the watch. The speaker on the watch can be used to play music, which is not available in other smartwatches. You can also store up to 2GB of downloaded music in the Zepp app. The software of the watch gives you the option to connect Bluetooth headphones for playback. There is no problem in using it. I never found any lag or sluggish behavior, and it always works exactly as the company claims. The overall performance is excellent and very smooth.
The GTR 3 also has a software feature that says “raise your wrist and see the magic! The smartwatch sends a notification and then wakes up the microphone for 5 seconds, allowing you to instantly start any app or workout, which we call offline voice control! It also has Alexa mode, which allows you to control Alexa devices in your home. The watch also has Bluetooth connectivity, which allows you to answer calls on your watch.
Amazfit GTR 3 :- Health & fitness Tracking.
Compared to other watches, Amazfit GTR 3 watch has more than 150 built-in sports modes, in which you get the option of running and walking, cycling, swimming, indoor and outdoor workouts, indoor sports like dance, combat sports, ball sports, water sports, winter sports. You can enjoy fitness by wearing the watch and this watch measures how much energy is filled in your body. This app is very good, but keep in mind that you have to set it up in the app first.
We tested this watch and found that its GPS tracking system was able to track us accurately when we ran 5 km wearing the watch. We found that the workout mode works well but its workout tracking takes a long time to turn on, which could have been better. And the workout function works sahi kaam karte hai.
The heart rate tracking mode was in line with the stats from other smartwatches and was fine for daily use, workouts and distance runs. However, during indoor cycling, we found the watch’s heart rate monitor didn’t react as quickly to changes as some higher-end sports watches. But it’s worth keeping in mind if you’re interested in heart rate zone training. And I think the Amazfit heart-rate feature deserves more importance.
It has a BioTracked 3.0 PPG biometric sensor that tracks your blood oxygen during workouts and also has a heart rate sensor. I compared the oximeter to another watch like the Garmin Forerunner 165 and the results were similar. The GPS system of the watch supports GLONASS, Galileo, BDS and QZSS navigation systems, so it accurately tracks your location and is able to measure any of your activities. I tested the GPS system and it works with full accuracy and precision.

Amazfit GTR 3 :- conclusion.
You first need to understand what kind of watch you want and what kind of activity tracker you want to wear. As per my experience, the Amazfit GTR 3 is a great option. In which you get customization and great pre-made watch faces, Alexa support and both its software and hardware work great, it is a very lightweight watch for daily wear. Overall this watch is a great smartwatch but it does not live up to Amazfit’s claims on many options. Overall, the Amazfit GTR 3 offers everything in a small, premium and lightweight package and it is also affordable and I really enjoyed my time with it and I would recommend it to those.
